How to use the Fasterize plugin

1. Download the plugin on Chrome
2. Download the Firefox plugin
3. Make sure you always have it visible on your browser.

The plugin uses a color code to indicate the status of your page.

The plugin changes color in your browser to indicate its status.

Below is a presentation of the different statuses:

1. ⚪️ The plugin is grey, which means that the site is not connected to our EdgeSEO solution.
2. 🔴 The plugin is red, which means that the page does not apply the SEO recommendations.
3. 🟠 The plugin is orange, which means that SEO recommendations have been disabled on your browser.
4. 🔵🟢🟡 The plugin is sky blue, blue, green or pink, which means SEO recommendations are applied.

The plugin enables you to activate or deactivate the application of SEO recommendations deployed from your browser.

When you activate or deactivate SEO recommendations, they are applied to your entire site from your browser only.

Why activate or deactivate the application of recommendations?

If you encounter a bug on your site, you can quickly and easily check whether it was caused by an SEO recommendation you've deployed.

More generally, it allows you to view your site in its original state.

How?

1. Click on the plugin in your browser.
2. A window opens with the plugin options.
3. Click on the blue button marked "see unoptimized pages" to disable SEO recommendations.
4. When you disable recommendations on your site, the plugin turns orange 🟠 on your browser.
5. Click on the blue button marked "see optimized pages".
6. When you enable recommendations on your site, the plugin may be in different colors 🔵🟢 on your browser.

The plugin allows you to activate or deactivate the Fasterize cache on your browser to view the page without cache.

This option is useful if you are a customer of our EdgeSpeed solution, on which we set cache rules.

When you activate or deactivate the Fasterize cache, it is applied to your entire site from your browser only.

Why enable or disable the Fasterize cache?

You've just deployed a new recommendation on your site.

You have Fasterize cache rules that apply with our EdgeSpeed solution.

You want to see your recommendation without flushing the page cache.

How?

1. Click on the plugin in your browser.
2. A window opens with the plugin options.
3. To disable the cache, check the "Bypass Fasterize cache for pages" box.
4. Reload your page.
5. To activate the cache, uncheck the "Bypass Fasterize cache for pages" box.
6. Reload your page.
