Sitemap cleaner

Using the Sitemap Cleaner application is easy 😉

1. 1. To access the Sitemap cleaner application, connect to our EdgeSEO solution solution, then click on the app.
   2. Click on the "Add Sitemap" button.
   3. Add your sitemap URL in the "Sitemap" field.
   4. Configure options to remove URLs from your sitemaps:
      • If you check the 5xx option, we'll remove URLs with status codes 500, 504 or 503 from your sitemaps.
      • If you check the 301 option, we'll remove from your sitemaps any URLs with a 301 status code.
      • If you check the 404 option, we'll remove URLs with a 404 status code from your sitemaps.
   5. Plan your sitemap cleanup.
      • Select the days of the week on which your sitemap will be cleaned.
      • Select the cleaning time.
   6. Click on the "Save" button.
   7. After the first cleanup, the sitemap can be accessed from the home page by clicking on the name-sitemap.xml (cleaned) link.
   8. Now all you have to do is submit the new sitemap to Search Console.
